Munir Ahmad, recipient of Sitara-e-Imtiaz Award, was a renowned Urdu and Punjabi poet. Munir Ahmed Niazi had a diverse literary career. He used to write for newspaper, radio, and magazine. He established an institution titled “Al- Misal”. He was associated with PTV Lahore for a very long period of time. Munir Niazi poetry collection comprise of Jungle Mein Dhanak, Mah-e-Munir, Taiz Hawa Aur Tanha Phool, and Dushmanoon Kai Darmiyan Sham to name a few. As far as his Punjabi publications are concerned, you can access Char Chup Cheezan, Rasta Dassan Walay Tarey, and Safar Di Raat. His selected English translations were edited by Suhail Safdar and published in 1996.
